Like any young Canadian boy, Jordan Walsh loved 2 things, hockey, and hunting. After suffering a series of concussions before leaving highschool crushed his dream of being a professional hockey player, Jordan pivoted to his next love, hunting and started the long hard road of turning what he loved into a career. Jordan is only 26, but he has his fingers in a lot of pies. From TV production and marketing to firearms accessories distribution and safari booking he stays very busy.

While many of us hunt for fun, it was great to sit down with Jordan and hear about what it’s like turning that fun into work, how it’s changed his perspective, and how it’s given him opportunities he never would have imagined. We start this episode catching up a bit with Jordan, the last time we spoke in person was during the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas Nevada. Jordan and his crew had a long list of destinations to take the Best of the West Muzzleloader in this season of “The Rifleman”, but things changed with COVID 19 began to run rampant around the world, locking him down in Canada. Jordan doesn’t quit though, he’s already filmed 3 hunts and looks to be filling more tags as we shift towards hunting season here in North America.

Interested in hunting the African Big 5 with a muzzleloader? Jordan is on his way to clear the list. For those unfamiliar with it, Jordan shares the details on how these animals are ethically hunted, cared for and nurtured, and how COVID 19 is allowing poachers to run rampant in Africa once again.

It’s not all about the pandemic though, we know you are sick of hearing about it! We talk with Jordan about his favorite hunts, dream hunts for the future, his favorite gear, and what it’s like hunting with a camera crew.

If Jordan is any indicator of where the spirit of hunting and conservation is going with the next generation, it’s in good hands.
