Mad Anne Bailey

Born in Liverpool, England Anne Hennis Trotter Bailey came to Staunton, Virginia and married her true love Richard Trotter in 1765. Richard was killed in “Dunmore’s War” at the Battle of Point Pleasant October 10, 1774. Unable to care for their only son William, Anne left him in the care of others and became a spy, scout, and huntress during the American Revolution and Indian Wars. Anne married John Bailey in 1785 and garrisoned in Fort Lee. Anne became the heroine of the Kanawha Valley in 1791 when Fort Lee was facing attack by the Shawnee. Known as the White Squaw of the Kanawha Valley to some, and Mad Anne to others, Suzanne Thomson bring’s Anne’s true story of frontier devastation, madness, and ultimate triumph to life for audiences of all ages.

Civil War Infantry Private

Kirk Womack Jr

I portray a private in the 6th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Co B during the Civil War. I don't usually do a first person impression, but simply speak as a reenactor portraying how it was. My portrayal is early war, but I can portray later war as well. I give talks and presentations to any interested groups, and have an accompanying display of personal items and accoutrements common to a average infantry private.
