William G, “I like 120 gr Pyrodex,(my gun takes up to 150 gr) and 295 gr power belts.Shoots straight and loads easy.”
Daniel P, “My cva wolf, 100 grns Pyrodex pellets, and 348 power belts at 100 yards. I just got it and haven't hunted with it yet but I'm impressed with the repeated accuracy”
Paul D “Traditions buckstalker, 100 pyrodex, still trying to figure out what it likes for bullets. Haven't hunted with it yet. Will be chasing blacktail and possibly black bear with it.”
Justin W, “I have the Traditions Buckstalker as well. Mine likes 90grns pyrodex rs, powerbelt 295grn hp, 300grn areolite, 300grn hornady sst, 300grn knight red hot hp with mmp 3-pedal ez sabot swap. I also use a federal premium muzzleloader 209 primer. I have found through load testing the other primers are too hot and the federals have given me the best groups.”
Rocky V “My inline I Deer hunt with is 58 cal, I shoot a 58 cal minie I turned the base plug down for a stronger skirt, it weighs 540g, with 100 grains of 3F black powder it will group 2 inch 3 shot groups off a bench at 100 yds, it will flat knock a Deer down.”
Andrew C, “I shoot a TC encore with premium 209 primer, and used 150 grains Shockey’s gold and TC sabot 265 grain shockwave. Deadly accurate and out to 100 yards or more. Dropped a buck a year ago at 130 yards. Can’t find that powder any longer so I’m going to use 100 grains of white hots. “
John L , “Tc encore 50 call triple 7 209 primers triple 7 100 gr. Hornady xtp.260 gr”
Joe M “Different barrels like different bullets, and charges. What my CVA Wolf likes may not work in yours, but mine likes a sabot with cast bullet and about 80gn and it’s on. It also likes 50gn FFg and a .490 round ball and .005 patch. To be fair it also shoots great with.015 patch but they’re so hard to get started”
Carl G “Full bore lead Hornady Great Plains 385 grain hollow points with 105 grains of Triple 7 fffg”
David C “I have been using a Traditions trekker for over 15yrs and it is extremely accurate. I shoot a 245gr powerbelt aerotip with 2 50gr 777 pellets and a 777 209 primer. At 100yds its flat shooting with 2in groups. For deer, I've taken mine from 20yds to 75yds and drops them. The bullet is a through and through and they don't run”
Phil M “290 gr Barnes EZ in a Mag Express sabot in front of 100 grains of Blackhorn 209 with a CCI 209 magnum primer. I've used the CVA Accura Mountain Rifle for 3 seasons and have nothing but good things to say about it.”
